Diana Vargas is a New York–based film programmer and Senior Producer at CUNY-TV, where she has earned sixteen Emmy Awards for the series Nueva York. As Artistic Director of the Havana Film Festival New York since 2003 and founder of CortoCircuito Latino ShortFest, she has curated and championed Latin American and Ibero-American films across major festivals in the U.S. and abroad. With decades of experience selecting films, advising filmmakers, and connecting projects to festival platforms and industry networks, she brings invaluable insight into how to position a film for festival success and theatrical distribution.
