About Filmed in Peru Film Festival
Filmed in Peru brings Peruvian Films and Directors to the USA. Each year, we search for the best Peruvian movies and show them in theaters in New York City and Miami. We also bring the filmmakers to introduce their films and to meet with both the audience members and representatives of the USA film industry.In 2023, we were honored to host three Peruvian Directors including Henry Vallejo, whose film was Peru's selection for the Oscars. In 2024, we hosted four directors including Francisco Lombardi, one of Peru's most prolific filmmakers and in 2025 we expanded to Long Island showing a record 20 films and hosted more than 12 Peruvian filmmakers!

Rules & Terms
We accept all genres of films (narrative, documentary, animation, etc.) of any length but we require that the film be produced in Peru and that the majority of the movie is shot in Peru. All films must be sub-titled in English and generally films must have been completed after January 1, 2023. (We make an exception for a high profile film that is premiering in the USA for the first time.) We only show the films in theaters, so movies must be delivered in DCP format.

The entrant affirms that they are the rightful owner of the submitted film or that they have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for its exhibition, including but not limited to rights for music, images, dialogue, performances, and all other copyrighted or protected material contained within the work. The entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Filmed in Peru, its organizers, affiliates, sponsors, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in connection with the exhibition of the submitted film at the festival.
