About Filmed in Peru Film Festival
"Filmed in Peru" is a showcase of Peruvian films in the United States. Since we started in 2023, we have brought more than 50 films to the USA, many showing for the very first time outside of Peru.

A big part of our festival is also bringing Peruvian filmmakers. We are proud that we have been able to invite 40 filmmakers over the past four years to attend.
Awards & Prizes
An "Audience Award" with a cash prize is presented. All feature length films are eligible for consideration.

Rules & Terms
We accept all genres of films (narrative, documentary, animation, etc.) of any length but we require that the film be produced in Peru and that the majority of the movie is shot in Peru. All films must be sub-titled in English and generally films must have been completed after January 1, 2025. (We make an exception for a high profile film that is premiering in the USA for the first time.) We only show the films in theaters, so movies must be delivered in DCP format.

The entrant affirms that they are the rightful owner of the submitted film or that they have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions for its exhibition, including but not limited to rights for music, images, dialogue, performances, and all other copyrighted or protected material contained within the work. The entrant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Filmed in Peru, its organizers, affiliates, sponsors, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in connection with the exhibition of the submitted film at the festival.
