Roberto Pazos is the founder of "Filmed in Peru," a dynamic showcase of Peruvian films held in New York and Miami that celebrates the rich storytelling and culture of Peru.

His feature film directing debut, The Gringa and the Musician, marks a significant milestone in his career.

Roberto is widely known as the host and creator of "Peruanos en el Mundo," a weekly travel show airing across the USA, Canada, and Peru since 2015. The show has journeyed to more than 50 countries, highlighting the global Peruvian community.
A passionate cinephile, he is a regular attendee of the Lima Film Festival and, in 2025, participated in both the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) and the Cannes Film Festival in France. His festival experience also includes co-managing the April 2024 OUTshine LGBTQ Film Festival in Miami, further contributing to the vibrant international film circuit.

Roberto’s filmmaking journey began in 1995 when he won the Grand Prix at the Port de Bouc International Youth Report Festival with his short film debut, "Educadores de la Calle" (Street's Educators). He has since produced two additional short films and earned a Peabody Award during his tenure at CNN. Roberto has also worked at Univision and Telemundo networks.
A native of Peru, he holds both a Bachelor's and a Master of Business degree from Florida International University.
