Among these gripping films, América, Miguel, and Justice for Katherine Gomez are premiering for the first time in Florida, offering a rare opportunity to discover fresh Peruvian voices before they reach wider audiences. Bus, selected for the Miami Film Festival in April 2026, adds to the program's prestige with its sharp social commentary on everyday Lima life. From Miguel's emotional reckoning with an absent father in 1990s Lima to Justice for Katherine Gomez's harrowing documentary recounting a young woman's tragic public attack through her mother's eyes, and Bus's explosive nine-minute drama about a refused seat on a crowded rush-hour bus, each film delivers unforgettable emotional impact.
